Exceptionally nice SG (4) piece farm set from 1920-1930 era.  The tractor is wind up with all the mechanics working properly.  Front of tractor has lithograph art of "Fordson" tractor and the SG logo....S.G. stood for Siegfried Gunthermann a German toy maker.....this set is quite a nice addition for the serious collector....offered at $2,000 USD.
Very rare and scarcely seen this nice...the "Foolish Questions" game with the great artwork, original box, instructions, and question cards..quite nice...offered at $100 USD...new edition 1924......Isn't that Flapper just the Bees Knees?????......"Say, what's that, a game?......a 2010 reply would be ...."not the way I play it, No"
Kenton Cast Iron Pumper..............circa 1920...complete....right rear wheel a bit shaky...but all complete....finish is somewhat dull...in perfect condition these bring over $600 USD...this one offered at half that price.....$300 USD.....such a bargain!!!
It's 1946...the allies just won the war.....the USAF did not yet exist.........but we had the Army Air Corp.  This delightful Flexitron electronic "kit" for young people was a big hit that Christmas...when parents could tout the glory of US Airmen without having to worry about the day their child would have to fly the real deal.......anyway...this kit teaches basic electronic circuitry and just by lifting and adjusting prewired segments, you can build a bunch of really cool stuff.  This set is offered for $95 USD...it is complete......with instruction manual and ALL original packing and two "Burgess" D cell batteries.  You might want to know that this is the only one I've ever seen....and it is complete!!!  Snag it!!
1923....naked wood Tinkertoys......two sets available.  They are both complete but one set has been played with....the other hasn't.  In earlier sets the wood was not color coded as later sets were...kind of nice, really.  The unused set is offered at...............$69 USD...the other set.....$49.00....both metal tops screw one nicely, never having been forced...the tube is sturdy with a metal bottom.......great gift...and nicely preserved for being 86 years old!
Very nice drum/drumstick set circa 1920 offered here........usually, you find these all beat up because....well... that's what a kid is supposed to do with them....beat the living daylights out of them....well this one, somehow, survived....very nice Native American and paint pony graphics all around the tin base with heavy paper drum head, top and bottom.....decorative leather tabs are still supple.....top and bottom wooden ring clasps are firm and sturdy....sticks are matched to this drum......there is one, very small, puncture....otherwise....mint....offered at $150 USD
"World's Greatest Toy"
the logo says it all......1928 Gilbert Erector Set......Deluxe Model #77....will make over 700 different patterns but by far, the most popular....and the reason kids loved this model..... was the STEAM SHOVEL!!...This set was EXPENSIVE......kids loved it parents hated it...they only made this model for the first 10-11 months of 1928 and it cost so much that not many survive because not that many were sold!!...This set is complete....let me qualify that....we looked at the inventory and everything is here...including theinspector's packing sheet...the wheel "recall" sheet, the inventory sheet and the instruction book.....BUT this set was used so there may be a few screws, washers or nuts missing.....the parts "nest" in the very nice wooden box and from what we can see everything is, as it ought to be.  There is a motor that requires batteries.  This has NOT been tested.  The case itself is a very well made wooden box with very nice graphics and the brass handle supports for the 'DEE-Luxe" model....graphic on the front of the instruction book is just great......I had several Erector Sets in my childhood....but NEVER like this one.....If I had been given this Deluxe set...well, I'd still be on the living room floor playing with it!!....Offered at $795 USD.......This is one of those times in life when you don't ask questions....you just pony up the money and snag the treasure!!!
