Circa 1920....matched set dresser with movable mirror/ high boy chest....both have full working locks on all drawers...key is included......mirror is quite nice....as with the other pieces these have been varnished but are complete and need only basic restoration....offered at $800.00 for the set. |
My favorite .....this piece has it all...undulating drawers with working locks/key....claw feet....correct wooden casters......beveled glass mirror.....has a coat of varnish that looks like the person used an alley cat as a brush.....even though this very nice dresser will need a refinish....it is by far the most stunning piece of vintage furniture we are currently offering...price set at $599.00........ask me to explain the "varnish" situation ....I have my own theory!! |
| It's been 5 years......did some work for work for a friend...never got paid.....the balance is into 5 figures and growing larger as we speak......anyway this piece used to belong to the deadbeat's Grandmother...who was, as far as I can gather, a pretty upstanding lady.......this piece has issues beyond the bad Karma.....the top needs to be secured properly...and the doors need to have the stops replaced. It could use a bit of a cleaning but that's about all.....the top drawer has a silverware compartment in it and the other drawers are ideal for table cloths, cloth napkins and other serving implements.........the two doors have tall space to store large coffe makers or candlesticks etc.....this sideboard is offered at $95.00..... |
Exceptionally nice student desk offered here........Strong Art Nouveau accents....with Mission Oak grain....as the pictures show the desk has a pull out drawer that turns into a writing surface complete with a hidden pencil compartment, crystal inkwell, compartments for envelopes etc and a lid that lifts up to reveal a large storage space for letterhead.....the sides feature two hidden book case compartments....so well hidden in fact that decades could pass and if you didn't know....you would NEVER know.....the size suggests that this was a desk for an adolescent male....the chair is not matched to the desk and is much older.... it is offered at $85.00.....we put the date at 1915-1920....offered at $600.00.....again there is a "varnish" situation..... |
Exquisite music stand fom 1880-1890 era ....decorative cast iron tripod feet.....stunning wood with tilted, flat surface...very sturdy.......could also be used as a sign in book or to display a large book or family heirloom......not likely to find another this nice at this price.........offered at $295 |
